GM Algoverians👋,

It’s the final day of voting for OceanDAO, and we’ll be staying up late to see the results. Algovera are currently in the proposals with funding (check out the current standings here) but it’s going to be a close one. No matter what happens, many friends of Algovera will miss out on funding. Hopefully, there are brighter days ahead.

If you prefer your updates in video format, you can check out today’s Town Hall recording.

Introducing Algovera Tracks

There’s quite a lot going on in Algovera these days and we’ve started documenting different Tracks (still a work in progress) that members can take within the community:

🎁Contribute Track: There is a growing number of people that resonate with Algovera’s mission, and many people have approached us that are interested in contributing. As a results, we’ve created a simple guide for registering interest, and a Contribute Board that shows opportunities for contributing to Algovera.

🤑Earn Track: Over time Algovera will have many opportunities for members to earn an income. To organise these opportunities into a single place, we created this database. The Algovera Opportunities database will show all the paid opportunities within Algovera.

🧱Create Track: This is for individuals that have ideas for projects that combine AI and Web3 and would like to apply for funding.

🤝Join Track: This track will be for individuals who want to join an Algovera Squad (coming soon)

🤓Learn Track: This track will be for getting members up to speed on AI in Web3. Think streamlined and more digestible version of our YouTube hacking sessions.

Squads

Squads now have their own pages on Algovera’s Notion managed by Squad members, where members of the Algovera community can keep up to date the progress of Squads. Eventually, Algovera will have a web app for its Squad framework that will contain similar pages.

Pods

Pods are working groups aiming to solve core problems faced by Algovera DAO. You can check out the full list of Algovera Pods and members here.

🗄The Storage Pod synced again and talked about a few things including how Filecoin can be used with the pythonic interface to storage called fsspec. The team are in discussions with a working group in Filecoin about the best way to achieve this, and hope to apply for a Filecoin grant shortly.

🤖The Tokenomics Pod are working to collectively summarise and categorise topics discussed so far and plan to identify short-term problems to work on. You can check out the updated Pod Notepad here, which includes some tokenomics case studies for other projects like Abraham.ai and the Commons Stack simulator and a wiki for other topics that have been discussed.
